History
- 1991: Founded as a drafting company by Carolynne Prevatte to provide drafting services to local land surveyors.
- 1994: Incorporated as a land surveying firm with Walter Prevatte joining as the licensed land surveyor.
- 2001: Aubrey Akin joins Technical Survey Services
- 2003: Marianne Prevatte Akin joins Technical Survey Services to perform company oversight.
- 2009: Aubrey Akin is licensed as a professional Land Surveyor in the State of Georgia.
- 2014: The firm experiences steady growth and appoints R. Brandon Spraggins and Levi Whitten to management roles within the company.
- 2019: Drone technology becomes a force within the industry and Technical Survey Services joins with the addition of drone aerial mapping services.
- 2021: 25th year anniversary of TSS.

Our Leadership Team
Aubrey Akin, President & Registered Land Surveyor #3138
Aubrey Akin joined the firm in 2001 as a draftsman. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in civil engineering in 2004. Aubrey pursued licensure as a professional land surveyor and was licensed in 2009. His role within the firms is strategic planning and firm operations.
R. Brandon Spraggins,
Vice President & Registered Land Surveyor #3310
Brandon joined TSS in 2010 as a crew chief. He was registered as professional land surveyor in 2014. Brandon manages the Boundary Survey Division.
James (Levi ) Whitten,
Vice President of Construction Division
Levi's career started with TSS in 2005. He worked in the field for 10 years learning all aspects of land surveying and had a focus on construction layout. Levi oversees the Construction Division for the firm.
Gary Hibbs, Survey Project Manager
Gary joined TSS as a crew chief in 2017. He is currently pursuing licensure as a Registered Land Surveyor. Gary is responsible for the management of crews and production of surveys.
